馃挕Tech MeetUp: Modern firmware development (20.06.2023)
20 Czerwca 2023, 18:00 (Wtorek)
Future of firmware development are new technologies and innovative ideas.
We would like to present both to show you new possibilities.
When: 20.06 (Tuesday) 18:00
Where: Browar Lubicz, Krak贸w
馃挕Topic: Modern firmware development
馃憠First Speaker: HaoHai Sun
Topic: Audio analytics with direction detection
Direction approximation for incidents based on audio was till now area for expensive gear. With new hardware and new algorithms we can fit audio analytics inside devices which are cheaply mass produced. We would like to present how we implement solution which change future.
Haohai Sun - Audio and Acoustic Architect at Motorola Solutions. HaoHai received the PhD degree in Telecommunications from Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He is the author of 20+ scientific papers in top journals and conferences, and holds more than 30 patents.馃憠Second Speaker: Pawe艂 Nowicki
Topic: Diving into Go from C++ developer perspective
C/C++ was always go to language in firmware development. With new technologies and modern languages like GO status quo is questionable. We would like to show how moving from C++ into GO change our way of working.
Pawe艂 Nowicki - Senior Software Engineer at Motorola Solutions, part of the Avigilon Alta Firmware team. Professionally always oscillating around computer security, hardware management and performance. In love-hate relationship with C++. Currently coding in Go. Definitely not an enthusiast for writing about himself.
馃憠Discussion Panel: ChatGPT
Future of firmware development from ChatGPT perspective
ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot developed by OpenAI and released in November 2022. It is built on top of OpenAI's GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 foundational large language models. We would like to touch the future and feel how we will be working in years to come. Together with our specialists we will ask ChatGPT technical questions. We will discuss answers to find if current state of AI technology is capable enough to be advisor for real life problems of embedded developers.
