I Topic: Emergency calls in the cloud

Speaker: Roy Massie 

• Director of Product Management for Motorola Solutions Emergency Call Handling cloud products.  
• For more than thirty years Roy has been designing and building enterprise-class products both in large and small technology companies

Speaker: Anna Jaworska

• Product Owner for multiple product modules in the Emergency Call Handling cloud suite. 
• She has 15 years of experience designing and leading development of software products. Two years ago, she joined the team, to support the journey from on-prem to cloud-based solutions.

Emergency calls (911, 112, etc.) are our communities direct lifeline to help day-to-day emergencies. But current emergency call systems are old and not ready for the Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Cities, Social Media and many other innovations now underway in the Information Revolution.  Motorola Solutions has paved a path to the future of Emergency Call Centers, using advanced cloud architecture and bridges to on-prem systems to take advantage of new cloud modules. Our roadmap protects the mission critical nature of emergency calls and merges it with new forms of information to increase safety for entire communities and nations.

II Topic: Cloud Native Emergency Call Handling

Speaker: Cristian Madularu

• Architect working on the CommandCentral Emergency Call Handling solution with 18 years of software development experience.
• The last 12 years has been dedicated to building various radio and emergency call handling products. He is primarily working with teams in the US, Canada and Poland.

As a part of the speech Christian provides an overview of some of the challenges involved in rebuilding the on-prem systems in the cloud. The presentation will focus on the elements running on prem communicating with the new cloud hosted services and the protocols involved in offering the full set of features our customers are currently enjoying. The presentation will also include a demo showcasing live video feeds being received from the caller.

III Topic: Real Time Crime Center - migration to cloud. CommandCentral Aware case

Speaker: Leszek Doniec

• Engineering manager
• With 15+ years of experience with public safety solutions.
• He started working on CommandCentral Aware OnPrem in 2015, helping the team to move to cloud since 2017

During this session Leszek will talk about how CommandCentral Aware team planned migration from on prem solution to cloud, inviting customers to follow the same path. He will explain what issues the team was facing during migration and how we solved pitfalls during the journey.

After each talk, you will have a chance to ask questions and discuss the topic with the Presenters.
