Tour de UITM - cycling to health on the GREEN VELO trail

The University of Information Technology and Management (UITM) in Rzeszów would like to invite all bicycle enthusiasts to take part in the "TOUR DE UITM - ROUTE TO HEALTH ON THE GREEN VELO TRAIL" combined with an Eco-Picnic promoting physical activity and healthy eating. The event will take place on 13 May this year. Participants will have to cover an approximately 20-kilometre route from the starting point, located at the UITM headquarters in Rzeszów at Sucharskiego St. no. 2, to the finish point, located at the UITM Campus in Kielnarowa. The cycling route has been planned in such a way as to promote the existing cycling infrastructure - cycling paths in Rzeszów and the GREEN-VELO cycling trail.

The bike rally is intended not only to encourage the use of the bicycle as a means of transport, but also to integrate the academic community and all those residents of Rzeszów and the surrounding area who will decide to take up the challenge. Join us and see for yourself why it is worth taking part in the first edition of the bike rally!

Participation in the bike rally is free of charge! In addition, valuable prizes - including a bicycle - will be drawn among the participants of the bike rally who complete the entire route!

Event programme:

• 9:30 - Start of the gathering at the UITM Headquarters in Rzeszów, Sucharskiego St. no. 2
• 10:30 - Start of the Rally
• 13:30 - Planned arrival at the finish line at the UITM Campus in Kielnarowa
• 13:30 - 16:15 - Start of the Eco-Picnic promoting physical activity and healthy eating including:

Fun Zone - Attractions and games for children,
Health Zone - check your blood pressure, learn about self-massage techniques and get nutrition advice,
Attraction Zone - competitions with prizes, try your skills at driving wearing alcohol goggles,
Bike Zone - come and try it out! + bike advice, bike safety inspection,
Beauty Zone - painting children's faces and cosmetic advice

• 13:30 - Refreshments - Barbecue sausages and a little something to eat
• 14:30-15:00 - Bike show by Krystian Herba
• 16:00 -The final of the "Be Eco - design a bicycle helmet" competition
• 16:15 - 16:30 - Drawing of prizes among the participants of the rally - including a bike!
• 17:00 - Closing of the Bike Rally

Applications will be accepted until 5 May 2023. Before the start of the Bike Rally, each Participant is required to hand in a completed registration card at the information desk, which will be sent to the email address after registration.
