Have you ever felt a disconnect from your audience? Noticed uncertainty on their faces? Felt that your intended message didn't quite land as planned?

The culprit might be those pesky vocal fillers - ums, uhs, and likes. The Mastering Confident Communication for Faculty and Staff - Reducing Vocal Fillers workshop provides participants with an invaluable opportunity to tackle these challenges head-on. By reducing distracting vocal fillers, attendees can elevate their communication skills to new heights.

Specifically designed for academic and administrative staff who engage in public speaking through lectures, presentations, or meetings, this training unlocks the secrets to confident communication, empowering participants to conquer vocal fillers. These paralinguistic sounds may create an illusion of speech continuity, but when overused, they disrupt the message, leading to a loss of trust and interest from the listener.

Throughout this dynamic session, attendees will:

  • Identify and Understand Vocal Fillers: Recognize and understand the reasons behind the use of vocal fillers across various languages.
  • Enhance Self-Awareness and Speaking Style: Discover personal tendencies, identify the types of fillers used, and understand when and why these fillers tend to appear.
  • Implement Practical Strategies: Acquire practical techniques to eliminate vocal fillers from speech, thereby enhancing clarity and effectiveness in communication.

Seize the opportunity to join this transformative workshop and master the art of confident, impactful communication.
