RELATIONSHIP ENERGETICS | Brian Gleason
Our relationships are the basis of the lives we lead. In this webinar, we will explore how we adapt Core Energetics principles to a relational context. Topics we will cover include: Shared Energy Field, Energy Dynamics of Relationships, the Function of Conflict, and Emotional Layering.
1. The Shared Energy Field - Every relationship creates its own unique energy field. The field itself is a co-creation and follows some fundamental principles of energy. This co-creation results in the formulation of protective patterns which can inhibit spontaneity and vulnerability.
2. Energy Dynamics of Relationships - The way energy moves in relationship often follows particular dynamics. We will examine some of these, including: collusion, modulation, balance, primacy of protection, and the multi-dimensionality of energy flow.
3. the Function of Conflict - Most of us have learned that conflict is problematic and needs to be "managed." In our approach, conflict is a fundamental aspect of an evolving relationship. In this workshop we will address the five stages of an evolution-based conflict.
4. Emotional Layering - Emotions tend to unfold in a layer from most protected to most vulnerable and ultimately to most expansive. We will explore the process of Full Self Expression which serves as a template to help us move from protection, through vulnerability, into genuine connection.

The webinar will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 18:00 (PL TIME) on the ZOOM platform. The meeting will last approximately 1.5h.

The interview will be conducted in English, a translator will be present at the meeting.

Brian Gleason with his wife, Marcia Gleason, is the co-founder, director, trainer and developer of Exceptional Marriage and Embodied Couples Work. Brian has over 39 years of experience working with organizations, groups, couples and individuals in a variety of mental health, corporate, wellness and educational settings. Over the past two decades, Brian has continued his education and personal development through a wide range of experiences. He completed six months of intensive relationship training, studying with psychologist Dr. John Gray, author of the best-selling book "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus." Brian also studied family therapy at the Ackerman Institute in New York City. Then in 1991, Brian began a five-year certification process as a Core Energetic Practitioner at the Institute of Core Energetics in New York. This body-centered psychotherapy training became an essential element in the development of the Exceptional Marriage Couples Work and Brian combined talk therapy, somatic therapy and spirituality.
With his wife Marcia, Brian developed the Exceptional Relationship training, an experience-based methodology for working with committed relationships that allows couples to respect each partner's ability to discover their greatest gifts and deepest truths.
Brian is a senior Teacher at N.Y. Institute of Core Energetics and teaches at the Radical Aliveness Institute in Los Angeles, California. He also teaches internationally and is the author of Mortal Spirit, a book on transpersonal psychology. He has also written Going All the Way: The Heart and Soul of the Exceptional Marriage and The Exceptional Relationship: Transformation through Embodied Couples Work.
