"CODE@HOME!" Contest Rules
§ 1 GENERAL INFORMATION
1. The Organiser of the "CODE@HOME!" Contest, hereinafter called the "Contest", is Sollers Consulting sp. z o. o., with its registered office in Warsaw, at ul. Koszykowa 54, 00-675 Warszawa, entered into the Register of Entrepreneurs kept by the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw in Warsaw, XIII Commercial Division of the National Court Register, KRS entry No. 0000191247, with a share capital of 50,000.00 PLN, NIP (Tax ID No.) 113-24-63-039, hereinafter called the "Organiser".
2. The contest is organised in the Republic of Poland, the regulations apply for the European Union citizens.
3. The participation in the contest is free and equivalent to the acceptance of these rules.
4. The Contest Rules are available at the Organiser's Offices and on the website https://app.evenea.pl/event/CODEatHOME.
§ 2 CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
1. "CODE@HOME" is a contest for:
- students of IT or related fields of study organised by a higher education facility, in the form of engineering, bachelor or master studies (both full-time and part-time studies), hereinafter called the "Student".
- professionals working in software development positions or in IT related departments, either in companies or providing services for them as part of their own business, hereinafter referred to as "Professionals".
Each Contest Participant who meets the above criteria shall be called hereinafter the "Participant".
2. To take part in the Contest, the Participant should take the test within the time specified in §3 of these Rules.
3. Sollers employees, interns and student ambassadors are not allowed to take part in the Contest.
4. By taking part in the Contest, in case of winning, the Participant agrees to have his/her name, and city, published at Sollers Consulting's social medias (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram)
5. By taking part Contest, the participant consents to the processing of personal data for purpose of conducting the test by Codility Sp. z o.o. in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation)".
6. By taking part in the Contest, the participant consents to the processing of personal data needed for registration by EventLabs in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation)".
7. For the participants from Germany in order to process personal data needed for registration, Federal Data Protection Act of 30 June 2017 (Federal Law Gazette I p. 2097), as last amended by Article 12 of the Act of 20 November 2019 (Federal Law Gazette I, p. 1626) will apply additionally to the regulations mentioned in paragraph §2, point 5 and 6 .
§ 3 CONTEST DETAILS
1. The participants can register for the competition from 15th of June 2020 until 21st of June 2020.
2. On 22nd of June 2020 participants will receive the e-mail with personalized link to the programming test. The deadline for solving the test is 28th of June 2020.
3. The Participants will be given access, by separate e-mail to the test after filling in the registration form on https://app.evenea.pl/event/CODEatHOME.
4. Each Participant can take the test only once. In case of multiple attempts, the Organiser has the right to disqualify the Participant and award the prize to the next person with the highest score, who meets the criteria described in these Rules.
5. Within the Contest, the Participant will solve two tasks from areas such as: Coding, Algorithms, Bug fixing, and Optimizing.
6. The Participant is obliged to take the test in one of the following programming languages: : C, C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, .NET, Kotlin, Python 7. The Contest will be conducted according to the timetable below:
1st stage 15h of June 2020-21th of June 2020 - registering for the Contest, receiving the results by the Organiser
2nd stage: 22nd of June 2020 - sending competition links to participants
3rd stage - 28th of June 2020 - deadline to solve the test
4th stage: 29th of June 2020 - 5th of July - choosing the winners
5th stage: 6th of July 2020 - announcing the winners
6th stage 7th of July 2020 - 20th of July 2020 - prizes distribution
§ 4 PRIZES
1. The winner will be chosen from the Participants who took part in the Contest, who meet the requirements described above and agreed to process their personal data.
2. The prizes below will be awarded: the first one: Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700, the second one JBL Xtreme 2 and third one: Razer Holiday Bundle. The next 17 participants with the best scores, will receive a pack with Sollers gadgets. Each of the 3 first prizes will additionally consist of a monetary amount equal to the winner/taxpayer's income tax for the winning package, as described in the point 3 below.
3. Sollers Consulting Sp. z o. o., as the Payer of Tax, will charge the flat-rate income tax from the value of the packets, pursuant to art. 30 para. 1, point 2 of the Act of 26 July 1991 on Personal income tax (Journal of Laws of 2012, item 361).
4. The tax amount will be deducted by Sollers Consulting Sp. z o. o. from the cash prize and paid to the Tax Office, competent for the taxpayer.
5. Sollers Consulting Sp. z.o.o. is not responsible for the payment the flat-rate income tax from the value of the packets in any country other than Poland.
6. The basic criteria for awarding is the number of points obtained by the Participant. If the participants get the same score - the winner will be selected based on additional indicators, considered in the following order:
- the quality of code
- implementation time.
7. If it is not possible to contact the Winner within 3 business days, the prize will be transferred to the next Contest Participant who meets the criteria.
8. If the Winner/Participant does not meet the requirements to be awarded with a prize, the prize will be transferred to the next Contest Participant who meets the set criteria.
9. The results of the Contest will be published at our social medias: on Sollers Consulting' Facebook and LinkedIn pages.
10.. The participants will be asked to pick up the prizes from Sollers Consulting offices or the Organizer will sent them to the winners (depending on the participant's location) between 07.07.2020 and 20.07.2020.
11. The prize is non-transferable to other persons or entities.
12. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash equivalent.
13. Participants who will score over 50% of points may be invited to take part in the recruitment process.
§ 5 PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
1. Each participant acknowledges that his personal data will be processed by Sollers Consulting Sp. z o.o., in accordance with art. 6 par. 1 (a) Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016. Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (GDPR) and in accordance with the Sollers Consulting privacy policy at URL: https://sollers.eu/pl/dane-osobowe/.
2. Each participant from Germany acknowledges that his personal data will be processed by Sollers Consulting Sp. z o.o., in accordance with the regulations mentioned in §5, point 1 and according to
Federal Data Protection Act of 30 June 2017 (Federal Law Gazette I p. 2097), as last amended by Article 12 of the Act of 20 November 2019 (Federal Law Gazette I, p. 1626).
3. Each Participant has the right to access their personal data, change them and demand their removal, on the terms described in the Sollers Consulting Privacy Policy at the URL: https://sollers.eu/pl/dane-osobowe/.
§ 6 FINAL PROVISIONS
1. In all cases which are not specified in these Rules, the Organiser is responsible for all the final decisions.
2. Each Participant has the right to access their personal data, change and demand its removal, on the terms described in the Act on the Protection of Personal Data. Instructions related to data should be sent to: [email protected]
3. The Organiser is not responsible for any technical problems other than those lying on its side, which are affecting the fulfilment of the conditions of participation in the Contest.
4. The Organiser reserves the right to change these Rules at any time without giving a reason, provided it does not affect the conditions of participation in the Contest and limit the rights of Participants.
5. Each Participant has the right to file complaints within 14 days from the date of closing the Contest regarding incompatibility of the Contest with these Rules.
6. Complaints should be provided in writing to the correspondence address: Sollers Consulting Sp. z o. o., ul. Koszykowa 54, V p., 00-675 Warsaw.
7. The complaint will be considered by the Organiser within 7 working days of receipt. The Participant submitting the complaint will be informed by e-mail to the address indicated in the complaint.
8. Contest is organized in accordance with art. 919, 920 and 921 of Polish Civil Law of 23 April, 1964 (Journal of Laws 1964 No.16 item 93). Contest is not game of chance as defined in art. 2 of Gambling Act of 19 November, 2009 (Journal of Laws 2009 No. 201 item 1540).

10. In all matters not covered in these Rules, legal provisions of Polish law shall apply.
